REQUIREMENTS

Scripting experience is required; you need to be at least comfortable following another person's commented code and changing script values and good at following scripts in general if you want to use this system beyond how it comes when purchased.

WEB HOSTING AND DOMAIN

Some Combat Code systems are database-based, so website hosting and PHP/MySQL are required to store and retrieve players' data like attribute values, roleplay currency, and other game data. The systems are temporarily hosted on combat code host servers, but you will need to host them yourself on your hosting servers. To get your system up and running, you need web hosting with PHP and MySQL support; many web hosting service providers are available, but I don't recommend a free hosting service provider.

Combat Code is using Dream Host as a web-hosting and domain name registration service provider; this is an excellent, stable company with many available plans and reasonable prices and latest software and hardware available, and incredible 24/7 customer support. I recommend it to ensure your system and website are fast, secure, and always up and running.

WEB TEXT EDITORS

You may need a web text editor to create your .php and .sql files, I am using Visual Studio Code, it is free and easy to use and setup.

FTP (FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL)

You may need an FTP software to transfer your .php files to your web hosting server, I am using FileZilla, it is a free software, cross-platform FTP application, and easy to use and setup.
